2013 Moore / Newcastle Tornado Damage

 

While visiting various cemeteries for Memorial Day in south OKC this afternoon, took us right through the middle of the tornado damage and then also in Newcastle on our way back.

 

 

Just a couple of photos from the car as we drove....  As they say, photos and television can not bring you the vastness of the magnitude of that storm.

2013 Memorial Day Flowers

 

 

With all that has gone on in south OKC this past week along with President Obama's visit today, Janice, I and the crew decided to venture south and honor our families gravesides today with flowers for each gravesite.

 

Tornado damage is just south of Resthaven so was a lot of activity today with dumptrucks etc but both cemeteries we visited were just beautiful.

 

So glad also that Resthaven has brought back the Boy Scouts to place flags on all the veteran's graves.

Kraus 80th Birthday

Saturday was an all day event out at the Kraus farm to celebrate GP Kraus's 80th birthday. Here Mr. Matt is keeping an eye on the calves.

Thomas the Train

For beginners, the new front bathroom pictures --- all the kiddo's enjoying the sun, beach or poole whichever is available.

Kathy and Sara arrived for GP Kraus's 80th birthday eariler this week. Had a family meal celebrating Janice's birthday (tomorrow the 4th) and Melissa's (September 4th) so we're catching up in a lot of places.

Today was "Thomas the Train" day and Sara/CJ enjoyed the heck out of it. Beautiful weather and just a lot of fun for the little ones.




And it would not have been a totally fun day except for a train ride...
