Still no internet access at the office so this is being written and transmitted from a 56K modem line from home. Ah, the good ole days...NOT.
Wanted to share this "out of order" -- on Tuesday of the Hawaii trip, flew over to Kona Island to see the volcano -- course, it rained! Visibility was les than an 1/8th of a mile most of the day so we continued south to the Black Sand beaches and, on a spur of the moment, all the way to the southern most tip of the United States. Our auto rental agreement banned us from this road but after a quick discussion, our battle cry from Colorado last year of "We don't need no stinking asphalt" echoed in our ears and we headed into uncharted territory and south. We just knew Cliff and Debbie would be proud. So, enjoy the video --- we really enjoyed the "unknown" factor of not knowing where we were going, roads turning to dirt and then back to one lane wiped out asphalt and then to reach the end of the road with the GPS showing us "in the water", knew we had made it as far south was we could go.
Was just too cool -- very isolated, only a fisherman or two camped out and Kyle even visted a burial site on the point.....
The video, well it speaks for itself.....
More when my eyes recover more and the internet gets faster....
