Had some time before the Big XII game so took a drive up the North Shore towards Sunset Beach, Waimea Bay, Pipeline, etc. Took a few pictures along the way --- think Dad and Charlene are enjoyed the beach the most this afternoon.
The waves are "epic" per the local surf sites so took a few moments at Sunset Beach to catch a few rounds of the O'neil World Championship Surfing competition.
Pretty intense crowd but hard to see the individual surfers as they caught waves --- set down in the crowd and enjoyed the show.
Was pretty amazing how much natural beauty there is to be seen on the beaches and the massive waves -- I mean Dad and Kerry were so intense on the views...
Needless so say Kyle was keeping his eyes glued also....
The conditions were pretty impressive..... The waves just incredible...
Time to go --- lunch is ready and it's time for the OU-Mizzo game -- was an Ohio Buckeyes fan on our plane and he was really PRO on OU -- gee I don't know why...
More later on --- will get some pictures of the house to show you where we're staying.
