New Years Eve / Tyler's Birthday

Made it to Rich and Karen's in Iowa in time for Tyler's 1st Birthday --- it was a blast and will post some pictures later today.

Janice and I are going to head back to OKC on New Years Day and spent another night here watching OSU play along with Katie, Adam, Tyler, Rich and Karen. Drive up was pretty incredible --- lots of snow and ice on the trees along with blue skies for a couple of hours made the drive beautiful.

Had some 1/8th mile visibility around Kansas City with "ice/fog" so slow driving there but the roads all in all were good. Temps were running about 8 or 9 degrees once we cleared the Kansas border and rest of the way --- was 19 when we arrived in Des Moines.

Since about 10" on the ground here --- makes me feel like we in Colorado. More later in the day when we have a moment --- going to look at a 50" plasma for Tyler's room since Adam said that's what Tyler wanted for Christmas, didn't get and the grandparents are now going to deal with...

***** Time Passes *****

Hey, it's more than later in the day --- New Year's Eve was great, a little foos ball competitions and just watching a lot of football. Janice/I really really enjoyed the downtime in Iowa and the all the snow. Can't thank Rich and Karen enough for the great hospitality!

Check out Katie's blog for more pictures of Tyler.....
