Then and Now - Tripler Hospital - Oahu

Dad has told me that one of my doctors practiced at the Tripler Army Hospital back in 1954 while he was stationed in Hawaii and Mom/I were there. This picture is from Dad's slide collection from 1954.

The first picture is from 1954 and the second from last week --- interesting to note are the "cars" shown in each picture.

Also interesting to note is that we could not get to the hospital without going through a security checkpoint down the hill and everyone in the van had to produce indentification before being allowed up the hill to the hospital.
